Holiday Inn Waikiki Beachcomber Japan

WOW! This is sooo AWESOME! Because it was announced before I even started this blog (!), I wasn’t originally planning on making a post about them until their official release, but San-X just announced that they’ve teamed up with H.I.S., a Japanese travel agency, to offer a special Rilakkuma-themed Hawaiian vacation! You get a Rilakkuma travel tote filled with gifts, and the room is fitted with Rilakkuma plushies everywhere!

Some but not ALL!

Some of it!

These are basically some of my Rilakkuma stuff! I still have bags,stationeries and much more! So, YEAH! I love all of this and this makes me HAPPY! Maybe I can say is that, I don't have any Rilakkuma squishies! :( I tried to buy from my friend... but somehow, it didn't go smoothly:( But NEVER MIND! I can still LIVE WITHOUT SQUISHIES :) HahaxD

My Korilakkuma Bear! (That's my first one)

My Korilakkuma Bear!

Please don't be mistaken! I actually like the white bear (Korilakkuma!) not the brown one so much:D Though it seems that I have pretty much stuff on my brown one, I shall post some on Korilakkuma! But I do not have a lot! Simply because it's not COMMON! *Sobs* :(

That bear is my first one I received! This was given to me by an uncle. He bought it for me in Japan quite sometime back... When I received it, I LOVED IT <3 It's SOOO CUTE!!! Haha.. Then, I started collecting lots and lots of Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma stuff^^.

All About Korilakkuma And Kiiroitori!

Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori

 Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori

Rilakkuma is often accompanied by Korilakkuma, Kiiroitori named her Korilakkuma because she looks like a small Rilakkuma (Ko means small or little in Japanese).  Rilakkuma didn’t know her at the time. She is full of vigor and is very mischievous. Kiiroitori. Kiiroitori means “yellow bird” in Japanese. He used to be in a birdcage but now he comes out at his own discretion and scolds Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma because Rilakkuma is too lazy and Korilakkuma is too mischievous. Sometimes he feels down because he thinks he scolds them too much. He plays a tsukkomi role (considered to be the smarter, more logical one who criticizes others for making mistakes). Kiiroitori is basically the opposite of Rilakkuma because of the bird's hard-working nature and loves cleaning. Korilakkuma frequently plays pranks on Rilakkuma while he is sleeping, such as drawing on him, putting headphones on him and sewing odd color patches on his bear suits. Most of the time, Korilakkuma doesn't say a word, but sometimes she imitates what Rilakkuma is saying.
Korilakkuma also has the appearance of a bear, but also has a red button attached to her chest, and so it seems that she is also not a real bear. However, unlike Rilakkuma, she doesn't have a zipper on her back. Her favorite foods are strawberries, apples and cherries and she loves playing with her radio controlled duck. Like Rilakkuma, she also likes listening to music, particularly at loud volume using her music player.  (Adapted from: Wikipedia)

Rilakkuma Biography

This is Rilakkuma ( Brown Bear).Accompained by Korilakkuma
(White bear) and Kiiroitori (Yellow chick).

The meaning of Rilakkuma is:

Japanese to English

Rilak ------>Relaxing
Kuma------> Bear

(リラックマ Rirakkuma) <-- Japanese way of pronouncing it.

Aki Kondo (creator of Rilakkuma) saw a TV show about dogs. She wished to own a pet because at that time she was very busy working and hoped for a more relaxing life. Rilakkuma is an embodiment of her wish. (Adapted from Wikipedia)

Some confusion that often occurs relating to Rilakkuma and his friend Korilakkuma's genders, it is stated on the San-X site that he is in fact a male, while Korilakkuma is indeed female.
